Project: Montserrat is a benefit album which released in 1997 for the people of the island of Montserrat, West Indies.  Montserrat was seriously damaged by Hurricane Hugo in 1989, then by volcanic eruptions in 1995. The album was created to raise funds for the victims. Montserrat was home for Gary for over 12 years.

This album is dedicated to our beautiful daughter. The Reggae song "Raspberries" is a sung by Masha, lyrics by us both. The track aired live on ZJB Radio Montserrat in 2014 during an interview by Rose Willock. Masha had just turned 10.

The title track "1459" is inspired by my wife's book, "The Rebirth of Francesca" which takes place in 1459 Italy. The track "Francesca" is based on the character in the book.

Title track "Floating in the Air" was composed in a few hours. "Walking Down The Street With My Baby" was my first song using electric guitar.

Obviously a lot of Montserrat influence on this album. The bass line in "Once Around De Island" came first, then the drum track with the heavy reverb on the hi-hats.

The track "Pirates" was a challenge from my wife. She asked, "try to compose something like you'd hear in Pirates of the Caribbean"...this was my attempt.

Title track "Pretty Mango" is named after a type of Mango we'd eat on Montserrat. The Tango version is coming soon.
